We have a really hard time finding Fred's name on things, so when we find something we just have to get it:

(Who knew that Fredonia is a university in New York state? We didn't, we had to look it up!)
I was flipping through my wedding pics (again) today. And I came across this picture that possibly shows exactly how I was feeling that day. It's one of my favorites, probably because it everyone around me was talking and laughing and as we were preparing to walk down the aisle. Always aware of the photographer, I caught Jay about to snap another shot and couldn't resist smiling. But even so, it wasn't posed or planned and therefore captures my feelings on that day.
On, on on to victory.
Brave team you're second to none.
Let's make this game history -- Along with the others you've won.
Fight, Fight, Fight with all your might--
So that the world may see that RED W-O-L-V-E-S means victory!

It's the eye of the tiger, it's the cream of the fight
Risin' up to the challenge of our rival
And the last known survivor stalks his prey in the night
And he's watchin' us all in the eye of the tiger!
America, America, God shed his grace on Thee. And crown Thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea!

Fred played in a golf tournament with Daddy over the weekend. They tied for 3rd! Go guys!

This is what happens when the wife is a graphic artist and the husband is an engineer (not to mention a HUGE TN Vols fan).
I'm so excited! Fred and I get to go over to Knoxville later this fall for a UT game. It'll be homecoming and Fred was just dying to go to a game - any game! So we started looking at tickets. The school actually had tickets for this game on sale, but we are bargain hunters and wanted to see what else we could find. EBay turned out to have a great deal with a season ticket holder selling his tickets for only $29.99 (of course we paid a little more due to other bidders, but we still got them for less than face value!).
Here is our view:
Paisley and I were over at Mom & Dad's for dinner last night. And Mom got some cheese from the fridge to give to the dogs. Paisley knows this is a special treat he only gets at their house and he went a little nuts!
Sunday night at church we had an open house event for Small Groups. Each group was to prepare a game/activity for everyone else to meander around and participate in. One table had Play-doh and each person was to create a jar, since we are like jars of clay that God molds.
Here's mine:
It was by far the most "jar-like" and definitely proclaimed the best of the bunch. Fred couldn't compete with my artistry, so he took a different route.
Fred's jar? Is leaking!
My indulgence? Pedicures. I just like having my toes look good in summer sandals!
The color? OPI's My Chiauhau.
Paisley got a bath today - one that was about a week over due. But now he's all white and fluffy and soft!

And this is his "aloof" look:
I've been seeing this beautiful butterfly in my garden and was quick enough with my camera today to get some great pictures! It makes me so excited to see her dancing amongst the flowers... here with her wings spread:

Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday sweet husband,
Happy Birthday to you!

I was up LATE last night (read: wide awake at 2am!) and out of sheer boredom, I went over to the dark side - I joined Facebook. Yep, I am now on both Facebook and MySpace. But one thing I realized? I know more people than anyone ever should (due in part to having attended a HUGE high school).
The really scary part is that Facebook knew who I knew. They suggested people that I know but how could they know I know them. Big Brother is a reality... Oh, and it's only 10:30 today, and I already have a double digit amount of friends. Why isn't the rest of the world working?
And that, to the left, that is my "official" profile pic. Cute, huh?
You can just start calling me "Martha"... These are cupcakes I've made for Fred's grandmother's birthday and subsequent family picnic tomorrow.

An up close view:

We're ONE!

I didn't let him do this at our wedding, so I thought it was only fair that he get to smash cake in my face on our 1st anniversary. What better way to say, "I love you!"?

Last night one of Fred's best friends and college roommate came into town with his 14-month-old, Lila. His parents hosted
a group of old friends (and spouses). And Fred & I got to play with her!

Fred was Best Man for his friend Mark this past Spring... and now I've gotten some of the pictures. For some reason I just really like this one of Fred.
I've kind of gotten into this whole gardening thing. But I made a few "green" mistakes this year, namely, underplanting. That's right, I didn't plant enough and what I did plant I spaced too far apart. To help me plan better next year I created this aerial view of my flowerbeds.

More flowers, but this time they're from my garden! (Dahlias, from here.)
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday sweet Paisley!
Happy birthday to you!

Paisley turns 1 today!

Fred and I worked out in the yard this weekend. I weeded my first flowerbed. We have this "island" bed in the middle of our yard that had been neglected for over a year... therefore it took me the better part of Saturday to get it cleaned up and replanted!

They say dogs resemble their owner (or vice versa), but what if they start acting like their owner? Here Paisley is sunbathing!
